A very warm welcome from myself and our excellent team to Handforth Grange. Our school vision is for the very highest expectation of academic success, behaviour, excitement and fun.
Children at our school enjoy a curriculum with three equally important layers:
- Academic – our mathematics, English, History, Geography and Science curriculums set some of the highest standards in the country for knowledge that children learn and work they produce
- Wider opportunities – pupils benefit from many wider opportunities to learn the things they love through; drama sessions; music tuition; many extra-curricular sport, music and drama clubs; yearly residentials for Year 3-6; and further activities such as participation in building a garden for the RHS Tatton Flower Show.
- ‘Handforth Experiences’ – each term the children get to experience a full range of different exciting opportunities based around a central theme. In recent terms, pupils have created an allotment and a Gold medal winning RHS Tatton Flower Show Garden as part of a ‘Gardening Experience’; have staged a full, whole-school performance of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at a local theatre as part of a ‘Dramatic experience’ and established permanent links with local community organisations like Hampers for Hope Food Bank and the local Over-60s club as part of a ‘Volunteering Experience’. We are honoured that Ofsted agree that our school is Outstanding and pleased with  our exceptional academic results that regularly see us in the top bracket of schools nationally but we are most proud of the fact that Handforth Grange is an exciting, fun place where all pupils, regardless of background or need enjoy learning.
We host visitors from all around the country and welcome you to make an appointment through the school office for a guided tour.
