Having been awarded the trophy for the Best Primary School Choir in Cheshire last year, this month our choir returned to the heats for the LMT Schools’ Music Competition 2020, ready to put on another amazing show for the judges.

We opened with Joni Mitchell’s ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ – complete with three-part harmony interludes – and then presented our original mash up of Louis Capldi’s ‘Someone You Loved’ with Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ and Imogen Heap’s ‘Hide and Seek’, all accompanied by Mr. Unwin on guitar.

Choir Director, Dr. Vince, said it was “our best showing yet, even topping last year’s winning performance”, while the judges comments were that “it sounded as if they really were singing with one voice. A very polished performance.”

With the competition harder than ever this year, we were immensely proud to be awarded first place in these regional heats yet again, and to be heading off to the final in March for the second year running.
