On Saturday 23 March, Two children, Seth and Charlie, from Handforth Grange took part in the Have a Go Challenge Competition at the weekend.
The children have been attending horse riding lessons at the Mid Cheshire RDA Centre in Ollerton on a Friday morning with their teaching assistants for a number of years. The RDA Countryside Challenge is a test of the many skills acquired in those lessons.
During the course the riders have the opportunity to put their skills to the test through challenge tasks such as going through gates, posting letters, to put their steering, balance and confidence to the test. The main aim was to have fun!
We are very proud to share that the children received rosettes for second and forth places in the different courses. they were very happy with their acheivements and delighted to share their success in assembly. Over the years the children have developed their core strength and focus to enable them to ride with increased independence. Hopefully, this will be a sport they can continue to succeed in in years to come
